[Coverage] GOT7 1st Fanmeeting in Kuala Lumpur

On 21st of March, GOT7 had successfully held their first ever fanmeeting in Malaysia. Fans were seen to be in queue since as early as 8:00am. As time passes, the number of fans gathered increased but due to good management, the venue didn't feel crowded and stuffed. When the gate opened, fans quickly gathered in their zones and began to shout for GOT7.

The fanmeeting officially started with Stop Stop It. Crowds were loud and the boys were energetic. They continued with another song called Gimme, before they stopped for a short segment. Jinny Boy, who was the MC of the day, showed the boys a video of zapin dance, and they were asked to try to dance to it. GOT7 proved that they are good in dancing as they could follow along to zapin after seeing the video once. Then, they were showed on a video of some Malaysian traditional things and were asked to memorize them as they will be tested on it.

The event continued with them performing 2 slow songs, contrasting from their usual dance tracks. After the songs ended, they went backstage for a short rest and came out again for another short game session called Guess What Is In The Box. Each of the members stood in front of a covered box, and they were asked to put their hand into it and guess what was the thing inside. Few hilarious moments were seen as the boys were kind of afraid with the unknown things they touched. In the end, they guessed everything right and the things were the ones they memorized earlier - terompah baba nyonya, sepak takraw, tengkolok, orang utan, mangosteen, and muruku.

The session continued with a Q&A session. GOT7 members were asked to pick a question each on the board the organizer prepared beforehand. It was revealed that the members wrote some questions as well. As soon as Q&A finished, they continued with picture session with VIP+ fans. The fans were separated from the boys with a line of security as to avoid fans grabbing the artists.

Time is precious, especially in events like this so they had a little break while a fanvideo was shown. GOT7 were impressed by their fans who covered the dance to Stop Stop It and praised them for doing well. They also celebrated Jackson's birthday which was on 28th of March and brought in a cake. Jackson was seen very touched with the gift and asked to take pictures first as he didn't want to ruin the beautiful cake without any proofs.

The show was nearing the end, so the boys performed A, the song they filmed their music video in Malaysia last year. Fans were screaming for an encore, and not disappointing their beloved fans, they came out again to perform the last song, Bounce. It was very energetic and the crowd was very loud from the start till the end. The boys were smiling, probably happy with the energy given out by their Malaysian fans.

The fanmeeting finally ended, and all fans were asked to leave the venue. In a nutshell, the event went really smooth with excellent management team. K-Empress would like to express our appreciation to eRama.tv for successfully holding GOT7 1st Fanmeeting in KL.
