Superstar K is a famous talent show series in South Korea which is held annually. The first season was aired back in year 2009, which increasingly gained interests not only from Koreans but from other parts of the world as well. Traditionally, the winner of each season will be given a chance to perform at the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) as well as other prizes. Seo Inguk, Heo Gak, John Park, Ulala Session and Busker Busker, to name a few, are great artists that are discovered from Superstar K.

Coming back with Season 4, Superstar K promises to discover rare talents not only from South Korea but also for foreigners. Previously, applications can be sent via phone, internet or in person but this year, they welcomed audition videos through Mnet's official Kakaotalk profile and karaoke. 2,083,447 applicants were recorded for this season, surpassing the records from Season 3. Lee Seungcheol, and Yoon Mirae returned back to be the judges, while Psy came until the Top 9 episode to replace Yoon Jungshin's place before Yoon Gun took the final place as for judges as Psy is busy with international promotions.

With the end of superweek, the final Top 12 finalists were revealed. Kye Boom Joo (22), Kim Jung Hwan (24), DickPunks (26), Roy Kim (20), Volume (27), Ahn Ye Seul (18), Yeon Gyu Sung (34), Yoo Seung Woo (16), Lee Ji Hye (18), Jung Jun Young (24), Honey G (29 / 18),  and Hong Dae Kwang (28) moved forward to fight for their dreams.

Even though they did not get to be in the Top 12, there are few of the other contestants who were eliminated during audition week / super week that left big impressions to Superstar K4's followers. One of them is Park Sangbo, (video) who is known for doing sit-ups before performances, never fails to make the audiences laughed with his unique way of singing. Next is Kwaenam and Ok Goo Seul (쾌남과옥구슬),  a trio group consists of 2 boys and 1 girl, which have their own unique style while performing. Alice, the only girl in the trio, once shocked the entire nation during the preliminary audition as she revealed that she's the singer for Baek Jiyoung's guide songs.

Anyhow, the final episode, which will be aired on this Friday on 11PM KST, will be a battle between DickPunks, an indie band from Hongdae, and Roy Kim, a boy with full package. Who will be the winner of Superstar K Season 4? Stay tuned with our updates!
